Yesterday, I made a vulnerable post on the sub MadeMeSmile which is a subreddit on Reddit I've been posting in for years - many know me on there as the guy who started the accessible shoe company.
The post was a vulnerable, heartfelt, genuine call to action with the hope that a few people might see it and support my mission of making my accessible shoes more affordable by purchasing my shoelace charms.
Within minutes the post had thousands of likes and we had an overwhelming amount of orders. I was blown away by how well it was received from complete strangers who believed in my vision.
Then shortly after, I got a message from the mods saying that I've been permanently banned from MadeMeSmile for "spamming". I've been posting my happy moments on there for literal years.
That said, I made these shirts because I'm pretty upset about it and I'm now on a mission - just like the charms, all the money made through the sales of these shirts goes toward being able to lower our shoe prices!
